These are lore ideas that I have come up with to build the world of PRISM.

THE HIVE

 

The Constant Problem Of Plotting Within The Hive's Depths Sends Superheroine's Below Often

The Hive is a massive subterranean organism that secretes a thick green slimy, slippery mucus which is warm and adhesive. It is believed that the Hive was the only area where aqueous-type elements could survive the extreme increase of heat of Venus. The “mucus” which creates the “Hive Slime” acted as protection from the heat of Venus. 

Inhabitants in Ancient Times slowly adapted and learned to consume the slimy, Hive Mucus, as less water became available. The Hive Mucus was richer and more nutrient than water. It  helped evolve the Venusians, allowing them to greatly adapt to the heat, and harsh environments, of Venus as centuries passed. Hive Slime converted to drinkable solutions are known as “Green Slime” or “Wetwork”. Though, “Wetwork” is generally a term used for the actual job of extracting Hive Slime from the Depths. 

The Hive Slime ( also known as “Hive Mucus” and other terms) is used for many things such as “D-Snot” (a popular soft-drink) and many structures are built with the combination of metals and Hive Mucus, due to its high-resistance to heat.

This has made the “Hive Slime Extraction” business is one of the largest industries on Venus. And very competitive.

Hives are a natural part of Venus, as far as most Venusians are aware of at least. Within the Hive, there is a nauseating, constant sound similar to the audio of one blowing their nose constantly. This is enough to make those not familiar to it disorientated and nauseous. 

Most Hives are underground, but they can spread up to the surface through connected tunnels and pathways. “Rogue” Hives on the surface are rare, since usually they are created by “Hive Infected Venusians” which follow a “Hive Queen”.  

There are many different types of lifeforms within the Hive Depths, most of which are symbiotic and protective of the Hive. This makes most of the lifeforms and organisms, native to the Hive, hostile to foreign ones entering. When the Hive creatures attack, their main goal is to make the foreign entity into “part” of The Hive. Some “organisms”( like the alien-colonizers from “Zel-X” ) are not detected, or attacked, by most Hive lifeforms; which gives reason to believe that the Hive, and Venusians, share some linked genetic history.

Lust Mother, Ms. Maligna

A former Goddess of an Ancient-Earth age, the erotic god-mother is now known as Ms. Maligna. Like many of the other exiled Gods of Venus, she used much of her godly power to escape from 'Earth Domain' when the "The Empyrean Light" and it's "Ethereals" invaded "The Dominant Sky".  

 

Ms. Maligna is the "Desire" (sexually-bound ) of Lust the Carnal, and feeds his sexual cravings through the collection of erotic tribute from his seeds on Venus. She is the mother of all Venusians with Lustian traits.

No Water On Venus 

There isn’t any ‘water’ on Venus. 

 

However, early explorer-settlers of Venus discovered ancient subterranean “Hives”, underneath many of the ancient alien temples they had discovered on the planet as well. The creatures within the Hives produce a slimy, green liquid that had richer and more vitalizing effects than water. It is generally known as "Green Slime" or "Wetwork". 

 

The consumption of this green, slimy liquid would genetically alter the descendants of the early Venusian explorer-settlers. A processed, translucent version of the Wetwork is used to simulate water of  Ancient-Earth for things such as— but not limited to— pools, lakes, and artificial rain.

The Grace Trait

KITEE, or "Kinetic-Thermal Erotic Energy", is generally known as "THE GRACE TRAIT". 

 

The Grace Traits are superior genetics, passed down through centuries, that were first possessed by the direct descendants of Grace's Chosen: The most devout Gracian warriors that were empowered to protect the Gracian Sex Temples of Venus. Fending off their former slavers and masters—The Cultist of Lust.

 

The mass amount of lustful, sexual activity on Venus eventually changed the entire planets atmosphere. The atmosphere would transform into what would be known as "Superotic Energy". This caused future Venusians to require erotic interactions; the same way Earthers require oxygen on their planet.
